Distribution of onshore wind turbines in Germany

For day four of the #30daymapchallenge on Twitter (hexagons), we created in map visualization of Germany showing onshore wind turbines. The ~5100 location have been binned into hexagons, making it easier to see the distribution of the turbines across the country.

Data sources

The data for this visualization comes from Esri DE Open Data, and is based on open data from Wikipedia (2018).
